ABOUT THE MARKETING DEPARTMENT FUNCTION

The °µÍøAV marketing team plays a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and success by positioning our brand, products, and services effectively within the market. Focused on delivering high-impact campaigns, content, and strategies, the team works closely with sales, editorial, and technology teams to ensure alignment with the company's overall business goals. By leveraging data-driven insights, digital innovation, and creative communication, the marketing department enhances customer engagement, strengthens market presence, and supports revenue generation. Their contribution ensures that °µÍøAV continues to expand its reach, influence, and impact in the industries we serve.

YOUR ROLE

The Head of Marketing, Subscriptions is responsible for defining and delivering °µÍøAV's global subscription growth strategy across its portfolio of premium media, intelligence, and data brands. This role owns the full subscriber lifecycle, from awareness and acquisition through conversion, engagement, and retention.

This is a senior, commercially focused role requiring deep experience in subscription led growth, digital performance marketing, funnel optimisation, and data-driven decision-making. You will work at the intersection of marketing, product, editorial, and sales to accelerate recurring revenue growth and maximise customer lifetime value.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Subscription growth and revenue ownership
    • Own the end-to-end marketing strategy with the main focus on new business acquisition, with the addition of retention, upsell, and lifetime value across °µÍøAV's portfolio (MJ, MM, MNN, AMM, ENB, GDI, FAH and NMB).
    • Be fully accountable for pipeline contribution, recurring revenue growth, churn reduction, ARPU improvement and forecast accuracy.
    • Develop and optimise go-to-market strategies for subscription products, bundles, trials, and new business initiatives.
    • Translate commercial targets into clear marketing KPIs, dashboards, and performance plans
  • Customer lifecycle & data driven marketing
    • Design and optimise the full subscriber lifecycle from awareness and acquisition through conversion, engagement and renewal, using data, experimentation, and cohort analysis.
    • Lead segmentation, personalisation, and marketing automation to improve conversion rates and customer lifetime value
    • Champion experimentation, A/B testing, and continuous optimisation across channels, messaging, and offers.
    • Use first/3rd-party data and insights to inform strategy, improve decision-making, and unlock new growth opportunities.
  • Brand, content and audience
    • Strengthen °µÍøAV's position as a trusted global authority in its verticals by aligning brand, content, and audience strategies.
    • Key stakeholders include editorial, sales, and data working together to grow high-value professional audiences and deepen engagement.
    • Develop clear brand frameworks, value propositions, and messaging that resonate with professional audiences.
    • Drive audience quality, not just scale, focusing on seniority, influence, and intent.
  • Performance Marketing, Channels & Technology
    • Lead paid, owned, and earned channels with clear ROI accountability, including digital acquisition, email, search, social, partnerships, and events.
    • Own and evolve the marketing tech stack (CRM, marketing automation, analytics), ensuring scalable, compliant, and insight-driven execution across digital channels and regions.
    • Ensure best-practice use of AI, data, privacy, and consent management across regions and platforms.
  • Partnership, commercial alignment & execution
    • Partner closely with Sales, Editorial, and Data teams to align marketing strategy with business objectives, product roadmaps, and revenue targets, while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Drive operational excellence, clear processes, and continuous improvement across marketing execution
    • Influence senior stakeholders and contribute to broader business strategy as a member of the leadership team.
  • Leadership and team
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-calibre marketing team across performance, lifecycle, brand, and operations.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, experimentation, and continuous learning.
    • Scale capabilities through internal development and selective use of agencies and partners.

The role reports directly to the CMO. At the direction of the CMO, you will be expected to take on any reasonable projects or responsibilities as needed to support the objectives of the business.

  • Lead major global subscription marketing initiatives from concept through execution and optimisation.
  • Drive sustainable recurring revenue growth across all °µÍøAV brands and products.

ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL HAVE TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in subscription marketing in a SaaS business.
  • Experience in an acquisition or growth marketing.
  • Commercial mindset with a deep understanding of customer acquisition and retention economics.
  • Channel planning and execution across email, digital and social media.
  • Strong knowledge of Agentic AI build and deployment, MarTech, including CRM systems such as HubSpot.
  • Analytical and data-driven with good reporting skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst ensuring standards and deadlines are met.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and talented journalist to join us as a junior reporter at Energy News Bulletin in Perth, Western Australia.

WA is a global hub for energy companies, all of whom are addressing the challenges of the energy transition. As a result there's never been a more exciting time to work on this ever-evolving news beat.

The junior reporter is responsible for writing (self-sourced as well as commissioned) engaging and informed multimedia news and feature articles on a daily basis, covering all aspects of the APAC-based energy sector.

The junior reporter will also be responsible at times for the production of social media content (primarily LinkedIn) and the daily newsletter.

We are looking for a talented, resilient self-starter, able to work fast to high standards with a passion for explaining sometimes complex issues in an engaging manner. A background in energy, finance, the wider resources industry or science is helpful but not a necessity. A good understanding of the energy landscape and a willingness to learn fast are more important.

Attending industry events and working closely with the wider content team on initiatives such as data journalism and adhering to high content quality and audience relevance standards.

ABOUT THE FINANCE FUNCTION

The Finance Department at °µÍøAV is integral to the company's growth and success. As a growing SME with a global footprint, the department not only handles traditional accounting functions but also provides critical insights through performance analysis, comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts. This enables the business to make data-driven decisions, optimize costs, and drive financial efficiency across the organization.

The team plays a key role in supporting strategic decision-making, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with the relevant in-country financial regulations, policies, and industry standards. By safeguarding the company's integrity and mitigating financial risks, the finance function helps maintain the company's financial health and long-term sustainability.

Operating as a global team with bases in London, Perth, and Manila, the Finance Department works collaboratively across regions to achieve departmental objectives, streamline processes, and ensure successful completion of key projects.

YOUR ROLE

The Assistant Accountant supports the Group Finance Manager in all aspects of financial management and accounting operations. This position will assist with financial and management account reporting, reconciliations, support accounts payable and receivable, as well as assisting in budgeting and compliance activities. The Assistant Accountant has a strong understanding of accounting principles and will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulations.

YOUR KEY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Management Accounts Reporting

  • Assist in month-end closing process ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation month end management accounts.
  • Prepare and process journal entries to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.
  • Prepare variance analysis to budget for management accounts monthly basis.
  • Ensure regular and accurate reconciliation of the balance sheets for each of the individual entities ensuring all adjusting entries are made as required.
  • Support the Group Finance Manager in the preparation of the group management accounts.

Group Financial Reporting & Audit

  • Assist timely and accurate preparation of half year and full year consolidated financial statements ready for audit in conjunction with the Group Finance Manager./li>
  • Assist with audits by preparing necessary documents and schedules and responding to audit queries.
  • Enhance and maintain internal control frameworks to ensure financial integrity and minimize risk.
  • Assist to identify and resolve accounting and reporting issues.

Finance Operations

  • Work with AP and AR teams on issues dealing with receivables, invoices and payables.
  • Assisting to oversee banking, payroll and adhoc payment and other transactional activity.
  • Work with other team members and other departments resolving queries and provide support where required.

Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement

  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to streamline finance operations.
  • Standardize procedures across the group to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Leverage automation and digital tools to enhance transaction processing and reporting

In-Country Financial Compliance

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations in each jurisdiction where the group operates.
  • Assist Finance Manager to ensure timely and accurate preparation in-country financial statements in compliance with local regulations
  • Assist Finance Manager to Ensure local entities meet all regulatory obligations, including tax filings, statutory reporting, and financial disclosures.
  • Assist Finance Manager to liaise with external advisors and auditors to support statutory and tax compliance.

In-Country Financial Compliance

  • Assist in preparing ad hoc reports as required.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Group Finance Manager and team as needed.
  • Support with Group Finance Manager and Group CFO as required with budgets and forecasting.
  • Take on additional accounting related task as required by the Group Finance Manager.

This role reports directly to the Group Finance Manager.

ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL HAVE TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related files or about to or recently Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent)
  • Good depth of accounting experience or a demonstrated ability to learn and take on more complex accounting responsibilities with support
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting principles
  • Proven experience managing financial close, month end reconciliations, revenue and cost recognition principles, and statutory compliance in multinational environments
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong systems knowledge including accounting software (e.g., Xero)
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and other financial tools
